IMC – Innovative surface coating for demanding applications

In-Mould-Coating (IMC) has established itself as an extremely efficient surface coating technology that is increasingly becoming the standard in many industrial sectors. In this process, the coating is applied directly in the mould during the production of PU moulded parts. Our IMC coating systems, both in 1K and 2K variants, are available in both solvent-based and water-based versions. We also offer the option of customising the pot life of the lacquers to meet the specific requirements of the respective application.

The lacquers are suitable for all common PU foam systems, including flexible foam, cold foam, integral foam and RIM. The IMC process offers significant advantages over traditional external coating, particularly in terms of time and cost savings. The most important advantages include:

These advanced paint systems are primarily used in the automotive industry, furniture production and the technical industry. They are used, for example, in the painting of steering wheels, seats and armrests in vehicles, in the manufacture of seat surfaces and backrests for office chairs, as well as orthopaedic parts such as prostheses and other technical components such as workplace mats and construction machinery parts.

Our IMC systems are characterised by excellent adhesion to the materials and high abrasion resistance. Depending on customer requirements, all products can be supplied as basic colours or exactly according to colour samples from various international colour chart systems (RAL, Pantone, NCS, HKS).
